7/13/14: Rally participants present San Bernardino, CA Archdiocese Communications Director John Andrews with a letter in opposition to the housing of Texas border crossers from Central America at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
On July 10, 2014, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, of the San Bernardino Archdiocese, housed 46 Central American border crossers who entered the USA via Texas and had been processed and then bused to the church from the Chula Vista, CA Border Patrol Station. In reaction to the Murrieta, CA Border Patrol Station protests, the San Bernardino Diocese, which includes Fontana, announced they would house the “displaced migrants.”
