LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis
LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis has been a major force pushing to transform the Pomona Fairplex into a temporary shelter for border crossers who are unaccompanied minors. Supervisor Solis held a press conference on April 9th in order to announce that the Pomona Fairplex will temporarily house up to 2,500 migrant children who have been in the custody of U.S Customs and Border Protection.
According to staff at the Pomona Fiarplex, as of today, April 13th, there are no unaccompanied minors being housed at the Pomona Fairplex.
CONTACT SUPERVISOR HILDA SOLIS and tell her the plans to set up a migrant shelter at the Pomona Fairplex should NOT move forward. Thereare more than 400,000 U.S. foster kids severely suffering as a result of the pandemic. Help American families and children, such as unemployed American workers, veterans and disabled Americans, not border crossers.
