CITIZEN LOBBYISTS TAKING ACTION
WTPR Citizen Lobbyists met with Rep Lou Correa’s staff members on 7/3/17, to request that the painting be removed.

On 6/22/17, during Rep Lou Correa’s open house reception, Citizen Lobbyists discovered a student art entry that depicts the Statue of Liberty wearing a hijab. According to the Muslim faith, a woman who wears a hijab is a devout Muslim.

A Muslim definition of what a hijab signifies, shown below, was presented in the packet to Rep Lou Correa in order to clarify that the painting of the Statue of Liberty, in a hijab, signals that she is a Muslim. Displaying this painting in a U.S. House of Representative’s office is a violation of the separation of church and state, according to a legal consultant who analyzed this issue.

Support American Workers Rally Rancho Cucamonga, CA 9/6/13

Rancho Cucamonga

September 6, 2013

On the final day of the congressional recess, Redlands Tea Party Patriots http://www.redlandsteaparty.com and Mountain View Republican Club http://www.mountainviewrepublicans.com/ members along with CCIR http://ccir.net/ staged a Support American Workers No Amnesty Rally in front of Congressman Gary Miller’s district office in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.  The rally was followed by a lobby visit calling upon Congressman Gary Miller to champion legislation for American workers and their families.

Constituents communicated to the congressman that more than 23 million Americans are looking for a job. Homelessness is burgeoning.  Veterans are living in abject poverty.  Citizen lobbyists called for Congressman Gary Miller to enact legislation to help struggling American families – not those in the United States illegally.

“Americans are suffering. Americans are trying to find a better life,” a Rancho Cucamonga resident said during the lobby visit.  “Where is our legislation?”
